I plan to be in Oak Hill on Saturday morning to see the Oaks in action. Can't wait to get a look at Jesse Slone and the boys.

ZT should be improved this year coming off a 2-8 season in 2007.
Give us a report ironman02 after the scrimmage on Saturday. Thanks.

I'll be on here in the afternoon to give my report on how things went. And I'll be brutally honest.

Overall....The Oaks looked pretty good today, but there is always room for improvement, good job boys, stay hungry, the sky is the limit.

The Oaks looked good today overall. I was quite impressed.

Scored on at least three long plays and could have scored on a couple of others.

Zane Trace's first team did drive on Oak Hill for a TD on the last series for the first teamers.

By that time, Oak Hill had scored four or five times with the first teamers going 10 plays or down and distance.

I left Oak Hill on Saturday very impressed by the Oaks' performance. Oak Hill was able to throw the ball with success and they also had the running game going as well. With guys like Slone, J.D. Hale, Dupree, Fisher, and W. Hale, the Oaks should be explosive offensively.

Oak Hill played pretty well defensively also. Zane Trace had a little success on the ground, but that was mostly on that final drive. The defensive ends for Oak Hill knocked down quite a few passes, Maynard looked very good at safety, and Hale and Fisher looked good inside at linebacker.

The Oaks will only get better from this point on and I see them contending for the SOC I title and a playoff berth. Good luck to them in the next scrimmage against Adena and in the opener against Chesapeake. Oak Hill's football program is in good hands and they're definitely headed in the right direction.
