Winton Woods 33 - Jackson 17 - FINAL
Jackson really played well and hung in there against a VERY talented team. Hard-hitting, physical game and I think the Ironmen really represented themselves well. Very proud of them.
Had the pleasure of talking to the Associate AD at Winton Woods. Great guy and he even brought Jerron Cage over to meet us. Very classy. Good luck to the Warriors!

I think a lot of the Ironmen turnovers came from just doing different things than they were used to doing in an effort to keep in the game.
I thought the booted punt right before halftime that led to a WW score was a dagger. Jackson moved the ball on the ground actually pretty effectively.
WW just too many players at too many positions.

Jackson has a beautiful stadium, with magnificent views of the hills. Jackson impressed me with their effort and intensity. We didn't match Jackson intensity and had too many penalties. I think the Warriors had one or two TDs called back. Winton Woods went up 27-3 in the beginning of the 4th and Jackson kept fighting.
#44 Williams does not have offers yet.

He has to put in the work but he is extremely talented. Great vision.

Well that was a very physical game. Jackson I believe finished with 4 turnovers on the game. 3 in the first half and 2 of them resulted in 14 points for WW. The pick 6 by number 22 I have to think was a result of size and athleticism as the Jackson QB probably gets that over the top of just about any other player. The muffed punt was huge, especially when there was no real pressure on the returner on the fair catch. Scoring 2-3 plays later from 45 out. Those 2 plays scoring wise are the difference in the game. I felt Jackson probably should've aired it out sooner and not try to go toe to toe for so long as it really wasn't getting them anywhere. I know the pass rush of WW was tough to handle but 2 yards a handoff wasn't enough. Going forward WW has really got to clean up the penalties and really lucked out as #22 should've been called for a celebration penalty after his pick 6 early in the game, sorry but you can't go dancing around the way he did, ref grabbed his flag then didn't throw it. The Williams boy #44 is a load for a freshman and will be a heck of a player as he gets older. #23 at MLB short stalky kid but probably more closing speed on run plays then any LB Jackson has faced in a log time. Overall good game just way to many mistakes by Jackson at the wrong time. Burning 3-4 timeouts through out the game on personnel issues in week 9 is simply unacceptable

That's awesome. Always love when city schools play in SEO for moments like that. Great hospitality here in the south and the favor usually gets returned. Cool experienceironman02 wrote:Winton Woods 33 - Jackson 17 - FINAL

Super proud of Jackson Ironmen football tonight. They played their guts out. Very physical game. Winton woods was as advertised. Easliy the Most talented football team Jackson has played this season. Jackson didn't back up one inch . Woods has to many athletes to name . Good luck next week to both teams.

One of the most physical high school game by both sides I've seen in a long long time!!! Reminds me of some ol C-K Wonders style football...
