rosomounter...Mader had a tremendous bat....
Yeah, that is true about the OHSAA record book, which does suck because some of the kids names never make it that deserve it just because there coach or AD is to "lazy" (for instance, if perry hit .550-he deserves it)

I did some research on Keenan Perry and his senior year he had-
Batting Avg.-.589

RBI- 44

Home Runs-10

1st Team SOC

SOC Player of the Year

1st Team All- District

1st Team All-State

And it is also said that his senior year that he hit a home run over a tree, I don't know if you know NB's field but their is woods a considerable distance away from the fence, this guy was phenonemal.

I think I remember Shane Salyers....did he graduate in 1992 or around there?

I thought Roberts made triple A with the Blue Jays?

What about players from before our time? East won State in 72, etc..
But from my era, Shane Salyers, Vaughters-Green, Joe Adkins was tough-ND. The Crafts from SW-but SOC2. Mike Howell was awesome at Clay 4-5 years ago.Keenan also at NB. Mike Peirce was good at Nb. I played at East and we had talent but no order or discipline.

i'm almost possitive perry had 13 homeruns his senior year. i was a freshman on south websters team when perry was a senior at NB i can only remember he had 13 home runs because i was an up and comming power hitter and i remember seeing his totals and being amazed. he was by far the best player of his time, probobly top 10 in the last 50 years in southern ohio

and he did play at shawnee....he played somewhere else before that i do believe, not 100% though, but i think he transfered to shawnee

Pat Holmes was a dandy pitcher for St. Joe in the mid-late 80's.

We need some perspective from older players. Obviously it's very difficult to compare older(50,60,s). generations, but we can with 80-s and 70's.

Wasn't Mark Frazie-the boxer, a very nice player for Minford? Let's get some old timers thoughts, lol.
