D3 Eastern District
This year the district is looking very soft. 1.Coshocton (7-2) These guys look like men beat Marietta by a million. 2.Shenandoah (6-1) They beat FF but will they keep it up. 3.Fort Frye (6-2) Did not shoot well and still played Warren tough. 4.Buckye Trail (6-2) beat Shenandoah 5.Tusky Valley (4-4) play a tough schedule 6.Garaway (4-3) 7.Ridgewood (5-2) 8.Martins Ferry (2-5) 9.NTown(2-6) 10.Sandy Valley (2-5) 11.Monroe Central(1-6) 12.Union Local (2-5)13.Bellaire(1-6) 14.West Muskingum (0-8)

I still think Fort Frye is the best team in that list. I was a little iffy after the Belpre and Shenandoah games, but after seeing what we did tonight, I am convinced we are the best in the district.

Obviously we showed we can hang with Warren, so we can hang we Coshocton too.

Yea FF just needs to play one game at the time
. Hopefully they get to play Magnolia in the OVACs that will be a great tourney tune up.

I'd say anyone in the top 7 can get it. there is still a lot of basketball to play.
and its not if fort frye can hang around with coshocton. its if they can pass them.

I don't like the districts being at OUE st clairsville because historically FF does not shoot well there.
Re: D3 Eastern District
I always liked to go there. I thought they were switching every other year between there and coshocton. But they couldn't do that now bc they are in the district, I'm assuming?

School did well for me. haha.EasternDspy wrote:You're correct Henry
I like OUE. It would be a nice place, but I don't think there is as many seats as New Philly. Are they playing 1 at the college and 1 at St. Clairsville? OVAC tournament will be good experience on that court now.

Re: D3 Eastern District
I've seen Coshocton and Fort Frye play this year. FF actually matches up well with Coshocton. CHS likes to shoot the 3 and made a bunch against Marietta. But FFs in your face D will force CHS to work to get better shots. By the end of the year these two teams will be the teams to beat in the district.

Coshocton is very good. Taylor and Jarvis have size and can score. They will give FF fits with their length. And their guards are adequate. It will take a good team to beat Coshocton, no doubt.
