Will the SEOAL continue to crumble to pieces???
With schools pulling out (Athens, Zanesville) there has been word sent my way that even more schools are going to pull out. Ive heard that Ironton is ready to bolt as well as Marietta. That would really put the league in a deep hole. Will the league fold or continue to play league games that could consist of 2-3 hour drives. I also understand that with the exit of ironton and Marietta would trigger other schools (Warren, Gallia Academy, Portsmouth) to jump ship as well............TTT!!!!
SEOAL NORTH
Zanesville
Marietta
Warren Local
Logan
SEOAL South
Ironton
Chillicothe
Jackson
Gallia Academy
Portsmouth

Re: Will the SEOAL continue to crumble to pieces???
The iminent demise of the SEOAL is very much exagerrated.
We're not crumbling, we're actually closing in with the departure of Zanesville. This makes Marietta the furthest drive from most of the South schools.
And, besides, there are numerous forums that are dissecting this topic.
The SEOAL is staying strong with 8 valuable, dedicated members.

I can tell you GAHS will never bolt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Will the SEOAL continue to crumble to pieces???
I'll guess buckeyeCAV and Vernon Howell will agree with you.
Re: Will the SEOAL continue to crumble to pieces???
Seems like some of the folks encouraging the demise of the SEOAL should think again. An excellent example is Chillicothe and a couple of their fans. The MSL is full and I doubt the SCOL would admit them. Seeing how Chilli has significantly more successful in the SEOAL than the OCC, I think they'd like the league. Try scheduling as an independent, especially in football.

Chillicothe loves the SEOAL. I can't see them going anywhere, anytime soon, unless everybody left. Besides, they like defeating Jackson 46-16 in football. Going 2-1 against Jackson in Football since entering the SEOAL and 4-0 in Basketball. Didn't Chillicothe score 104 points on the ironmen in Basketball last year in Chillicothe

Just curious ironman92

Boy...that's the least I've ever typed to overwhelmingly get under someones nerves.
How many user names are you up to now Army...5? 6? It seems like ever since Army has vanished that a new Army-like poster has joined every day since.....I just figured you were bystander since you have started the exact same thread with the exact same feelings about 5 times.....each getting moved to the private forum.
You can post all the favorable Chilly/Jackson scores you want.....no one will take you seriously.
And buckeyeCAV.....you didn't post your real feelings...you posted to get back at me or Jackson or whatever.
I am sorry that your trueness and loyalty to Wellston won't allow you to be reasonable more often than not.
How about you go back to your Logan/Chilly thread and post your predictions about 8 more times and then sign off the same way everytime making each post glaringly the same....and for giggles maybe copy everyones prior posts and make it into 1 big one with 9,342 smilies.
You are truely awesome.

Ugghh, not again. This has to be the most repeated topic in the history of SEOPS. Can we just wait and see what happens?
Ironman92,

1-0 verses Warren
South Division
3-0 verses Gallia Academy
2-1 verses Ironton
2-1 verses Portsmouth
2-1 verses Jackson
In Basketball we are 26-1 in SEOAL Play.
North Division

2-0 verses Marietta
2-0 verses Warren
2-1 verses Zanesville
South Division
4-0 verses Jackson-scored 104 points against the ironmen in 2008

4-0 verses Gallia Academy
4-0 verses Ironton
4-0 verses Portsmouth
Winning the 2006-2007 season SEOAL Title
We are 3-0 in Girls Tennis SEOAL Championships 2006, 2007, 2008
We are 2-0 in Boys Soccer Championships 2007, 2008

Re: Will the SEOAL continue to crumble to pieces???
Why did you quote my post to reply with that? I just said I was sick of seeing this topic. I didn't say anything about how Chillicothe has done since they entered the SEOAL.
By the way, what's with all this rubbing in the scores of this year's Jackson-Chillicothe football game(which was actually 41-16) and last year's Jackson-Chilli basketball game? Wouldn't that classify as insulting the kids in Jackson's athletic program? We all know you just can't stand it when people do that stuff...or at least it seems that way when you make up false accusations and then pass them off as my comments.

I hate to quote that other guy up-north, but do I detect Cavavlier envy? 3-0 against your team in football, and 4-0 in basketball?

Give the CAVS a chance. This is only the Cavaliers third season in the SEOAL.

How many years has the team you support been in the SEOAL?

hammerdown wrote:a friend of mine talked to a AD of one school that is a member of the SEOAL and they said the league will be disolved with in 5 years.![]()
The question is, was that AD from one of the original three schools left in the SEOAL or one that was outside those three? One of those three voted against the expansion for 2006, so if it would be that school, not likely.

They complain that Ironton is to big to play against. Ironton is two sizes smaller than that school.

Chillicothe would have no place to go except maybe the SCOL. That's a very slim maybe. Or in a newly formed SE-Ohio league with former SEOAL members and SOC Schools, or try the independent route, because the MSL-Buckeye wouldn't offer the CAVS a slot either. That is, if the league did actually split up in 5 years.

Jackson complains that Ironton is too big? There you go making stuff up again.

Re: Will the SEOAL continue to crumble to pieces???
Who was it that voted against letting two small D4 schools in the SEOAL, that is very close in proximity to play against, to include Chillicothe who was at the time a DII, and now is a DIII School? To also include in that package Zanesville a DII school the same size as that school that voted against the expansion.
Just curious

Chillicothe will be in the SEOAL until they are the last team standing.

Re: Will the SEOAL continue to crumble to pieces???
For the absolute last time, it had NOTHING to do with school size. It was all about travel and whether or not the league would last. I've tried to explain this in every way possible, but you don't listen. You don't like Jackson so you disregard any type of logic and just throw out insults.
