(-2) Minnesota @ Green Bay 45 o/u

Post by fuzzhead »

Big game in the NFC North Sunday. Green Bay won the first match-up at Lambeau, 24-19.
Green Bay is 2-2 on the road this year (wins against Detroit and Seattle; losses to Tampa and Tennessee). The Packers have scored at least 21 points in 3 of those 4 and are averaging 26.2 ppg this year, while giving up 22.2 ppg. They're averaging 336.5 ypg and 101.1 (3.7 avg) rush ypg and they're +4 in TO ratio. Defensively, they're giving up 330.2 ypg, including 146.4 (4.9 per rush) rush yds per game.
Minnesota is 2-1 @ home and is winning by a score of about 16-14 (wins against Carolina and Detroit, loss to Indy). On offense, they're scoring an average of 22.8 ppg, while giving up 23.5 ppg. They're averaging 342.2 ypg, including 134.5 rush yards per game (4.4 ypc). They're giving up 302.5 ypg, including an NFL 2nd-best 69.6 rush yds per game (3.0 ypc).
They are -2 in TO ratio.
Both teams have shown they can put up points, but Minnesota is better defensively and Green Bay has shown that they struggle against good defensive teams (Tampa and Tennessee).

Prediction: Both teams break 20 points and the game breaks the 45-point over/under, but Green Bay keeps the Viking defense honest enough to pass effectively and pulls the upset, winning by 9 or less.
