Re: West Football 09
Let's hope West kids understand the importance of working with Coach T instead of a trainer somewhere. NOT the same by any standard.

Re: West Football 09
Coach Triplett knows as much if not more conditioning and weight training that any trainer around, and he is an excellent motivator. Ask any player that played last year or anyone that went to practice, it was regular conditioning and weight training all year round.
Re: West Football 09
I heard him tell some kids the first practice that they had did everything he asked over the offseason and that he would find a way to get them on the field. He lived up to his side of the bargain. He also singled at least 1 out whom did not condition and just showed up at practice that day. He was fair with him. He told him he would have to work his tail off to earn a spot. He had played alot the year before. He quit after that practice. You get what you earn with coach. He doesn't care whom you are or what your name is. That's why I like him. He's a tireless worker.

Also a player who I don't think was mentioned above is Fisher. He didn't play much this year but is very athletic. I understand he's going to stay here for his senior year. A year of conditioning and this kid will be a big contributor as a senior.
Re: West Football 09
Keith Fisher is a very good athlete, he just got into the system to late and lets face it the backfield was loaded...I think he could make a very good fullback, and could fill in dale's spot, which in all fairness will be tough shoes to fill. He also has a good arm, he played quarterback in middle school for west, and about the kid your refering to he sparingly came to weight room and I suppose and thought he would start, needleses to say he didn't play at all. And I think West fill stay D5, even though it would of been more an advantage to be D4, because I believe that Region 19 was tougher than Region 15 this year.

Re: West Football 09
We are well aware of the weightlifting and conditioning program that coach T has, and it is a good program. I was just saying that Locher along with some of the other player's are along with weightlifting and conditioning at the field house they are also going to work with a trainer at the life center after some of their basketball practice's whe the field house is closed, so don't you worry your pretty little head about how in shape they will be, just wait and see.

Beside's that these kid's have talked to the coach as they do daily and they know what they are supposed to be doing. So I don't think anyone should be worrying about it.
Re: West Football 09
they were saying on JJHuddle that Coldwater and some others would be moving down to D5. There were some others also. Some were moving from D4 to D3. So if it stays the way it is, D4 will maybe be easier. Probably what they'll do though is move the cutoff for D4 down. West was barely D5 this last time so it's possible we could go back to Region 15.
