Just released, congrats to the 8 (yes EIGHT!!) kids from Chilly who made the D-III list.

In terms of the all-state teams, Chillicothe — like Logan Elm, Sheridan and Logan — get big boosts when they make the playoffs, go 10-0 or close to, and win a game or two in the playoffs.

I just fired off an e-mail to the folks at the AP to add the two first-team all-SE district quarterbacks — Matt Workman of Paint Valley and Jesse Slone of Oak Hill — to the Division V Special Mention list.

The only reason I caught this was because I was looking for Slone's name and didn't see it. I have a copy of the all-district list and those that make first-team all-district are automatically AT LEAST all-Ohio Special Mention.

I wish the AP at the state level would pay more attention to detail.
