Trimble to the TVC Ohio in 2014?
If anyone watched the NY-Trimble game on Channel 15, at the end of the game on the Trimble announcers tape, one of the announcers said Trimble would be in the TVC Ohio in all sports in 2014 and you heard it here first.
Is Trimble going to try to move up to the TVC Ohio? If so, when is the official vote? 2014 is also when River Valley joins the TVC Ohio. If this is the case, both divisions would balance out and have 8 teams each.

Re: Trimble to the TVC Ohio in 2014?
There is no chance Athens, VC or Wellston votes yes for Trimble to join.
Athens wants bigger schools in the conference. VC and Wellston wouldn't want to travel to Glouster. Not to mention the facilities in the Ohio are second to none with the exception of Meigs. Trimble just doesn't fit.

And Meigs' stadium is almost finished from what I've heard. So I also doubt they'd be voted in, but then again I definitely don't have a dog in this fight.

I also doubt if Trimble would have enough yes votes for this to happen.
Wellston, Vinton County and Meigs would have no interest in playing a small D VI school every year knowing that the small D VI school will most likely beat them more times than not. Anyone old enough to remember the old unified TVC prior to '93 will remember how well Trimble played in the league and I just don't see the three non-Athens County teams wanted to add a little brother who comes in and beats them in most years.
Athens has wanted larger schools in the TVC Ohio, so I'm not sure how they would vote. It would be bad for Athens to have to add two smaller schools to their schedule - River Valley AND Trimble, but at the same time, Athens-Trimble would be a huge gate.
Alexander dropped Trimble from their football schedule. Not sure if the Spartans would want to add Trimble back as a league game having dropped them all together a few years ago.
Trimble needs to rearrange its schedule so Trimble vs. Wahama is the Week 10 matchup every year. I don't think it's realistic to think NY vs. Trimble will ever be a Week 10 matchup again. NY has found its new Week 10 rivalry with Athens and I don't want to see that game moved on the schedule.
Trimble's best bet is to play a strong non-league schedule and have the TVC arrange it's Hocking schedule so the stronger Hocking schools are on Trimble's schedule at the end of the season instead of the beginning of the season.

Re: Trimble to the TVC Ohio in 2014?
Trimble shared the title twice and won it outright twice in 15 years up to the league split. The Vikings have won 8 of the last 9 games against Trimble.. so i doubt being afraid of losing every year would be in the decision.

Re: Trimble to the TVC Ohio in 2014?
Trimble is way too small to join the Ohio in my opinion, in football they would be competitive most years but in reality other sports would suffer. I hope the rumor isn't true, it wouldn't be good for Athens in any way other than ticket sales.
Re: Trimble to the TVC Ohio in 2014?
With the constant talk about realignment and the addition of a third TVC division its really hard to tell what it will look like in 2014.

you could be seeing Gallia Academy and Jackson by then because it is likely that Chillicothe and Logan are gone from the seoal by 2014,perhaps even Warren?

Just say this does happen...Where do you put NY
FOOTBALL only...Or play crossover games..
Would like to see NY- Gallia...
they should be playing every year...
Re: Trimble to the TVC Ohio in 2014?
With NY numbers on the rise, they should remain in the Ohio even with 3 divisions IMO.

Trimbles program is slowly going downhill season after season. Them moving to the T-OHI will not help them in any way at all.

Something else that factors in here is future enrollment. Trimble has lost a lot of students in the past few years and the lower grades have even fewer students than the upper grades.
If you have a DVI school that continues to shrink in size year after year, that isn't a good sign for future enrollment. That would be an even stronger argument that Trimble wouldn't be a fit for the TVC Ohio.

When the TVC moves t 3 divisions in a couple years Trimble will still be in the Hocking. NY will stay in the Ohio.
Re: Trimble to the TVC Ohio in 2014?
I have heard through the grapevine that this has already been voted on by the TVC and passed 14-2.

Re: Trimble to the TVC Ohio in 2014?
Too small, now way Jose, this isn't even a real thread is it ? The only way Trimble will ever come over to the Ohio division is when their kids consolidate with N-Y and that may happen by 2014.
Re: Trimble to the TVC Ohio in 2014?
The TVC Hocking schools wouldn't have a vote. Only the Ohio. I'd find a new grapevine! Lol
