Rock hill at St. Joe
Thoughts?
If the Flyers can come out and play hard and make good shot selection I think they can come out on top. They (St. Joe)face quite a height disadvantage but I think they can overcome that. hope to see a good turnout.

Re: Rock hill at St. Joe
Is this game friday?
The Flyers will have to force Rock Hill to the perimeter. The Flyers have TJ Young and Blackburn down low to bang around the Redmen big guys. I think the key to the game is how many points Rock Hill gets in the paint. The Flyers will also most certainly have to shoot better this time around than they did against New Boston.
The key for Rock hill will be limiting Harvey. Chad will get points, but how many he gets will be important. I think I would put the ball in the hands of Blair and Gagai and make them beat me from the outside. If they can hit the shots, then so beit. It will be very important for the Flyers success this year to get the other 4 on the floor into the game on offense and taking some heat off of Harvey. New Boston let St Joe off the hook last friday night. Good teams will not.
good Luck St Joe!

I believe, they play Tuesday 85inside. Nice analysis on last Friday and for upcoming game(s) on both sides, defending SJ and what SJ must do to be successful. SJ will have to defend a 6'8" (the Tribune had him anywhere from 6'8" to 6'10") inside guy vs RH. That is giving at least 5" to the tallest Flyer in the varsity rotation. Good luck SJ v. RH. A 2-0 start would be nice for the Flyers.

Re: Rock hill at St. Joe
With your small gym and a good press I don't see Rock Hill handling the pressure. St. Joe by at least 13.

Re: Rock hill at St. Joe
I think your right tabasco defense will be the difference. he Joe has a few more fouls to use than they have had in the past, with the bench being deeper,so I think they will try and turn up the heat and try to get up early. Again I think shot selection is huge. We've got to move the ball around and take the right shots.
85inside- I think caleb and t.j. are just glad to have someone else to bang on besides each other.
GO FLYERS!!!

This one went into overtime. The Flyers started the OT with two consecutive turnovers and the Redmen made them pay as they went up by 4, 55-51. The Flyers then calmed down and climbed back into it as Chad Harvey scored 6 of his game high 26 to bring the Flyers back. The Purple and Gold wins this one 60-57.

It was an UGLY win but a win all the same.

Very ugly, indeed. However both teams played extremely hard. The game could have gone either way. The Redmen are tough inside. They sort of got away from their strength. The Flyers are not very polished or diversified yet, but they sure do play hard. St. Joe had several opportunities to throw in the towel, but they never quit. Good job by both teams.

Good effort by both teams. St. Joe was sloppy but played good when it counted, thats how you win.
On a side note in the paper today it said Harvey was coached his Freshman and Soph years by Simpson im fairly positive this is not true. LOL

You might have thought the person writing the story would have done more research or heck, at least, remembered it. It was only two years ago and his alma mater we're talking about.
