2012 Looking ahead (how do you think your team will do)
I see Newark Catholic playing for the state title. If all of their guys who played last season(jr's and soph's) come back and with the help of the freshman class(who will now be soph's)this team should be a major force, especially when playing D-6 teams.

I see newark catholic being back to championship form, I wouldnt be surprised to see them go 15-0
Logan, imo i think will have a better year maybe finish around .500 I think jackson or ironton will win the seoal..
TVC HOCKING winner will be trimble or wahama trimble goes 7-3 losses are from non conference games but i think they may beat wahama next time around to take the tvc.... newark catholic wins region 23
TVC OHIO.. comes down to Athens and NY once agian imo. Also iv heard north will be the NY qb . I think this year a team NOT up north will win reg 19 8)
Cant wait for friday night football here in southeast ohio

I see the Grove winning the OVC and making it to the playoffs with a chance to host round one.
Re: 2012 Looking ahead (how do you think your team will do)
buckeyeguy, Ironton left the SEOAL two years ago, they will not win it this year
SEOAL
1) Jackson, lost their big names, but bring back many starters on both sides of the ball
2) Gallia Academy, played many underclassmen last season, has Jackson at home
3) Portsmouth, every year preseason I think they are the team to beat
4) Logan, the Wolfe system is going to click starting this year
5) Warren, QB is back, but a lot of the supporting class is gone
6) Chillicothe, they have the coach, the talent, but something hasn't been clicking

Seoal
1)Jackson yes the lose big names but they have a freshman ab that looks very impressive and they do return a lot of players and almost all of there linemen plus there freshman tight end/line backer
2)gallia will be good and last game of the year battle for the seoal title against Jackson
3)Warren returning qb wr will come in and should do fine.
4)Logan there in a down cycle right now but don't sleep on them!
5)Portsmouth very fast very athletic but can't take the pounding from the top two teams.
6)chilli there team hasn't had the right attitude the past couple of years and I don't see it changing?

Way too early to tell, but there is lots of excitement for Wheelersburg football 2012! New stadium, turf, tougher non-conference schedule, and lots of younger players gained valuable experience in 2011. Hoping for the 29th SOC trophy and playoffs for 2012!!

Adena lost a lot to graduation. I don't know if they will be as competitive as they have been for the past decade or so.

Look for big things from Piketon with almost everyone returning, have to replace 2 on o-line, a corner, safety and kicker. Lots of kids in the weight room working hard.

It seems we are always looking for big things from Piketon. Maybe it will happen this fall.

Piketon had a lot of 1st yr starters last yr and had a very competitive team and with 17 of them returning this yr Im gonna go out on a limb and say they will be better than last yr.

Logan Elm will be tough to gauge; graduation hit this team pretty hard. But there are some athletes coming back and have a great coaching staff in place. It'll be an interesting season.

I'm hearing Bartholomew may be looking for greener pastures?

Not the first time that rumor has been circulated. I'd have to hear concrete evidence before I started thinking it. I'm not saying that I think one way or another, but in the offseason, the coaching carousel sends rumors flying all over the place.
If he does one day go to "greener pastures," he'll have left this program at a level it's never been before.

Re: 2012 Looking ahead (how do you think your team will do)
hopefully the SEOAL will start get things back on track next year and have more than one team make the playoffs. This is how i see it playing out next year.
1.Gallia Academy- they were a young team last year and had many underclassmen start. With that experience under their belts they should have a good season going into coach eddy's 4th year.
2.Jackson- For the last two years theyve been dominant in league play and i see this happening again until they meet Gallia in week 10. Should be a great finale again next year.
3.Logan- Finally get things together and start to rebuild their program.
4.Warren- Have a great quarterback on their team, but doesnt't seem like he has much of a supporting cast, however they could surprise people and have a good year, theyre a team to watchout for
5.Chillicothe- have a good coach out of hinton but I dont think theyre going to get things back on track for awhile
6.Portsmouth- theyre in the same boat as chillicothe as of now. Theyre always hyped up at the beginning of the year but never seem to fulfill those expectations.
