Eastern v.s Waverly

Just to be clear to everyone.......tfred does a good job doing Waverly and Eastern's ball games on 100.9.


It's 100.1 I am referring too that is terrible.

I have sat in with the announcers of 100.1 twice this year, once at ZT football and the other at Mifflin. I was going to help at the Adena game, but I got a late start because of the girls game at Eastern. It is hard, especially the main guy. He or she has to know the opposing players by name and number, and be able to flow with the game. As the color man, I was able to chip in my two cents worth here and there.

The main announcer for 100.1 does a good job, does he get excited and think that maybe bad calls went against Piketon? Yes, but he still gives you the time, quarter and score on a quick basis and he is professional.

Get off there backs, go to the games if you dont want to listen! lol

The "main announcer"does not keep you informed on time and score,maybe once every 4mins.........Also it it his/her job to know the other players names and numbers.....Come on!!And he gets excited on every single call that is not in Piketon's favor.All you catch when listening to Piketon games is......"Here's the inbound,pass inside up and good, can't seem to find a name for that kid right now #24 made the shot and I'll get u that name in just a sec".Meanwhile all the radio listeners missed the next possesion.That's just 1 example I can give on why there terrible.Oh yeah and on the play #24 had to travel or commit an offensive foul to score in the "main announcers eyes".This is why I quit listening,they need changes and they would have alot more listeners.I hate being like this as I am a Pike Countian and am very supportive of the job tfred and 100.9 do,I dont'think 100.1 realizes how many people don't listen because of there announcers just plain cry the whole game about officiating,it's ridicilous,and childish,and people will not listen to that.

Yes the guys on 100.9 do a nice job, they get excited once in awhile but you always know the time and score. I listened the other night to the Piketon game on 100.1 for 10 minutes and never heard the score, and do we really need a 30 minute recap after every game. They only know the Piketon players names and never get the away team right. if i want to listen to chearleading for 90 minutes I will go to the game and sit in the cheer section, come on 100.1 do your homework and give us a better broadcast on what is happening or let the guys from 100.9 do the games.

I don't think that anyone can stand to listen to the complete game to catch their names at the end of the broadcast.
