daniC ... how on the Shermans looking ? the UHS boyz of Coach Hoops are #2 and pushing #1 Fairland for a reason - they have tons of talent EVEN after losing LOTS of talent ! ... I'll be at the Foundation game on Tuesday night ... is this a 7:30 tip off ? will there be a JV game prior to the varsity tip off or will the Girls Varsity be playing ? ... what time does EVERYTHING start Tuesday evening ?

Portsmouth went 4-2 vs. Piketon and Minford, winning 2 of 3 quarters against each. All around good effort by the Trojans.

Freshmen tips at 4:45, then JV and Varsity to follow.

The Shermans are a work in progress, but have a crazy amount of potential. Edler and Ogan didn't play on Thursday with injuries, but once they're back, things should look a little smoother. They both made short appearances today. They won the overall quarters with JG and Briggs, but it was a nice scrimmage overall for all 3 teams. Casey White looked like a breakout player after being a role player last year.

Look out for Washington this season. Super athletic with good length. If they are able to control the tempo (which Coach Bartruff is great at) they'll win a lot of ballgames again this winter.

Watterson, Briggs, and John Glenn all will have their successes this year as well. A good slate of opponents to start things off for the Shermans. Unioto has won 8 of the 12 quarters that they have played so far, with 1 tie.

Great morning for Redstreaks of Piketon as they visited Portsmouth to take on the Trojans and the Falcons from Minford. Still learning but showed definite signs of improvement and can see great things just around the corner this season. Scrimmages are great but hard to judge because the Redstreaks are definitely a 4 quarter team with theit style of play. Still a lot to work on but I don't think many teams will want to match up for 4 quarters with the Streaks as the season progresses.
