Cleveland Browns reach contract terms with Eric Mangini

Pioli was NEVER in Cleveland's plans once Mangini became availble. Those two are on the outs and have been for awhile, and Lerner fell in love with Mangini. Plus Mangini wants the personnel guy in Baltimore as the GM. When was the last time an owner asked a coach to pick the franchise's GM?

Whether Mangini will work out or not is yet to be seen, but at least he came to town hitting the ground running with a plan in place for the organization and coaching staff, and he is wasting no time getting his people in line before the other teams in similar situations can beat them to the punch.

Yea ,but ,Paul brown wanted a team and they told him it would be in seattle. Paul didnt want that. He wanted it in ohio . Just because art took his team away from him . He got what he wanted. He wanted to be a thorn in arts side . And he did .

I think the browns will be better than what everyone thinks. Im an outsider looking in. I think they have a good chance of making playoffs. Yes, really.

One bottle throwing episode? They have joked about that since the 80's...I know because my grandfather has told me stories and trust me he is not one for lying and bashing his beloved Brownies...I have seen it happen against the Bengals, Steelers, and the Jaguars...and our coach at the time was hurt in that one.

It happened quite a bit in the 80s. The one I remember is when david fulcher intercepted a pass from bernie and ran it in for a td. They threw full cans of bud at him . Twards the end of the 80s . Cameras were put in the pound and the dog house had to go (full of beer ) and there were police in the stands. That help to get rid of bottle beer and cups only soon followed. And wicky sams hurry up offense is used by evey team in the nfl .
But if it snowed (dont think snow balls came out in force) Thats why some cinci fans throw snow balls at cleveland players , because they were tired of there players getting thrown at . Sam just didnt want them to stoop to that level. And he stopped it during that game. The coach in cleveland never tried to stop it. Sam didnt put up with it.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm.........I remember one game where they had over a foot of snow on Saturday and thus couldnt clean the seats before the game. We were playing San Diego of all teams, and when the Chargers scored late and were attempting the game winning extra point, the Dawg Pound erupted with snow/ice balls that hit everyone around the line and even the spot where the holder was going to place the ball.

The kicker said he thought they had stored those snowballs in the freezer overnight because when he got hit in the helmet it almost knocked him out!

Nothing that came out of the Dawg Pound was even close to the abuse I had to take in Pittsburgh because I dared show up in Browns gear.
