Re: All SOC
Congrats to Luke Keller. Its great to have someone from our area earn this award! However, case is not closed. Luke Brown, although it was not first team, was All-State as well. May be the first ever from Northwest. Again, to have accomplished this with the surrounding cast that he had was incredible. Best back in Scioto County. Not gonna change my mind.

Did I miss his name on the Div V all state list. If so, let me know so I can go back and highlight it. So many names on there its possible.

I can go along with most opinions but I just cannot agree with this on any level. As I stated, I've seen Brown play more than a handful of times. And I agree that he didn't have the supporting cast that Keller had, but if you actually watch them play they are on completely different levels as football players.
Watch Keller's high light video... It doesn't even have the Wynford game where the kid made some of the most amazing catches I've seen in a high school game. Brown is a very good player, but he doesn't have the feet or the vision that Keller has. I'd love to see some video of Brown's high light plays. While Keller's line deserves enormous credit for his accolades, there where plays he made in space and the open field that were incredible against better competition. If Keller and Brown played on the same team, I know which one would be getting the carries.
Don't get me wrong, Brown is a fine player but I'd bet my house that he wouldn't have put up the numbers or made the plays if he were an Indian. He would have a good season but I don't think he would have been the state player of the year.

Brown was a pretty good back but not in the same league with Keller, there is something special in Keller something that you don't see very often. Its my opinion I would rather have Auger or Bricker in my backfield, seen somethings from Brown that I did not like.
