As of right now, the Celtics are probably the #1 team. The Lakers and Cavs have both beaten them recently, but it's hard to count out what they have done over the course of the whole year.

The Cavs and Lakers have done more over the course of the year. They both beat the Celtics, and have a better record then the Celtics, plus the Cavs are undefeated at home

I agree to an extent. Remember though, the Cavs swept the Spurs in the regular season 2 years ago but couldn't win one in the finals. I don't really consider the Lakers a threat this year, they haven't shown the kind of defense that it takes to win in the playoffs. They are physically capable of it, but they have just been outscoring people for the most part. The Cavs and Celtics have both played great defense, but the Celtics have more veteran, proven scoring options.

It only matters who is standing in June. Go Celts!

Isn't this an opinion page? That's my opinion. You must not confuse regular season results with post-season ability. The Titans beat the Steelers in the regular season. The Eagles killed the Cardinals in the regular season. Yet the Steelers and Cardinals faced off in the Super Bowl. I appreciate your difference of OPINION. I just feel when the chips are down, this is the way it stacks up. Celtics vs. Spurs and I'll take the Celtics with home court advantage.

We'll know more by the end of the week. There will probably be a few trades made as teams scramble for positioning.
