I hope you are right. I have learned one thing over the years about first round games, matchups are everything. A couple years ago we got lucky enough to catch Liberty Union in the first round. I think they lost to the eventual State Champ in the semis that year.FANOSPORTS wrote:These games definitely don't get anyone ready for the playoffs so I hope at least the Athens game is competitive because the Bucks will need it come week 12 (They've already won week 11 IMO).
Week 8: Vinton Co. (1-6, 0-2) @ Nelsonville-York (7-0, 2-0)

Well when a coach doesn't use ALL OF HIS ATHLETES you will never play to your teams potential. Names are everything!!!

This has been the least commented on thread for any NY game this season and the fewest hits. Usually we have several pages of comments and a few thousand hits. It's Wednesday and we are still on the first page of comments and just over 700 hits.

Not much to talk about concerning this game. IMO this will be the most boring game of the year. VC might have a little fire under their a$$es for about 2 min til we start runnin the ball down their throats.Dustin will have as many yards as he wants fri night and nates passes wont be able to be stopped. Jv could play from the 2nd quarter on and win this game, but since it is senior night id like to see Coach Boston keep the seniors/starters in all night and put up 60or 70 points. Viking fans know its true to last year they were all over this page saying how they would destroy Nelsonville. After a 42-6 loss they were pretty quite.NYBuckeye96 wrote:This has been the least commented on thread for any NY game this season and the fewest hits. No one from VC thought they would destroy NY last year. Although the Vikings did run the football down NY's throat for an early 6-0 lead.. we all know what happened after that. VC has the potential to play decent but in order for them to compete in this game, they'll need a monumental collapse at the hands of the bucks and i don't see that happening. VC is in a terrible rut and it'll be a few years before this game isn't boring. NY will win just as the sun rises everyday.. its up to VC to show some heart and resilience and make NY and their fans walk away saying this VC team is improved.

Bucks should bring their jr high so they can play the second half. Bucks are loaded with talent. Vc people keep supporting your team and get those boys into the weight room all offseason. Good looking kids just need Time

One more day till game day!!!
LET"S GO BUCKEYES!!!!!!!!
Don't see this being much of a game and I see our Freshman getting some playing time VC is down and needs to rebuild, but they have nothing to lose and may come out to play.
Good luck to both teams for an injury free game.

From what I was told that VC is very physical. They just keep hurting themselves. To many turn overs, to many penalties.
They played pretty physical against Athens, from what I could tell watching 15. They have good size, get to the ball pretty well.
They stuggle scoring pts.
I'm sure the Bucks will be ready to play. Senior night!

And we'll bring our Jr High, considering our 8th grade slaughtered your 8th grade. Not like that matters, though.

OK, someone gotta get this thread heated up and running.
Our defense is gonna pick up that rattletrap option offense and shove right up the vikings butt. The only thing that keeps the score close is the fact that our PE teacher aint calling the offense. If that were the case we would hang 80 tonight.

PSB, You are always trying to heat things up. I love it how you always try to rub the old PE teacher (KM) in the faces of the coaching staff. Lots of class you got there Billy.

That 8th grade team only has 8 8th graders, the rest are 7th gradeers. It's always been one of the smaller classes. I'd be curious to know what the scores against the 7th and 9th grade class are because once those three grades are put back together, that team is a beast.

Yea, I really think Billy Williamson would make a name with his place of work on there. Billy has people that hate him and people that like him, like all of us do. However, one thing that we can all say about him is, he always has coached to win, and been about the kids. Now that he is doing games on the radio, he happens to be about all of the kids in the area, but when he coached/coaches, he is a buckeye at heart. He is doing a great job, as well as Coach Tom Fearns on WAIS/WSEO radio. The guy that is impersonating him on here and bashes our coaches, and the guy that comes right back to stick up for the coaching staff is the same guy or linked to the same guy. Not the first time it has happened. Regardless, this is not about him or Billy. It is about the kids, coaches, teams and games.
NY by as many as they want.
