All time Southern Ohio Quarterbacks.
All time Southern Ohio Quarterbacks.
Let me start this by stating the obvious number one, Chuck Ealy. Never lost a game he started at QB in high school or college. In my opinion that means EVERYBODY else is playing for second place.
Who else?
Who else?

Several good choices mentioned above. I'll mention also Mark Swinning, Jason Bolin, and Trevor Walls from Waverly.

Jonathan Eaton for the Burg in the 90's. No one could carry out a fake like him. He went on to play and start 4 years for Akron as a DB or safety.

Re: All time Southern Ohio Quarterbacks.
Grant Gregory of Athens........originally signed with Indiana I think, then transferred somewhere else.....maybe OU........had a rocket for an arm..........the Bulldogs destroyed Portsmouth at PHS his senior year.
Re: All time Southern Ohio Quarterbacks.
From Trimble
Kevin Meade - Akron (first player ever recruited by Jim Tressel)
Mike Roback - Ohio
Roger Bingman - Hastings (Nebraska)

Gregory will probably leave SFU, his dad was fired and took the OC job at South Alabama. They are smaller so he can transfer and play.

Better read this article
http://www.al.com/usa/mobileregister/in ... xml&coll=3
According to the story, Gregory informed South Florida coach Jim Leavitt that he was going to talk with Meyer about the position.
The next day, Leavitt said he demoted Gregory, stripping him of his offensive coordinator title.
"Greg visited with me about the possibility of coaching at another school, and I felt like I had to make a move," Leavitt told the Times.
The South Florida coach also was quoted in the story as saying he didn't believe coordinators should apply for position jobs at other schools but denied some news reports that Gregory had been dismissed from the staff.
"I never used the word 'fire,'" Leavitt told the paper

Re: All time Southern Ohio Quarterbacks.
I don't have any knowledge of that. I thought he still had a year or two.
Re: All time Southern Ohio Quarterbacks.
John Knight,
Good Question why I left Echstenkamper out. Probably because I was thinking Trimble QBs that went on to play QB in college. Echstenkamper played baseball at Ohio, and was team captain his senior year. Mark was also Trimble's first three sport All-Ohio pick, and a really good sophomore receiver for Mike Roback in 1980 (alongside Scott Holbert)
Another one to mention would be Rusty Richards who was a undersized three year starter at QB. Rusty was a starting Cornerback at Otterbein during his college career.
Terry Holbert also had a great year as a senior in 2004, throwing for over 1,400 yards. He is now playing in a back-up roll at Muskingum College.

Greg Cook if not for an injury would be the most outstanding. He would have gone a long way in the pros
After that I would go with Art

Re: All time Southern Ohio Quarterbacks.
I'll second Greg Cook.
Another one to throw in the mix, from the early 60's Larry Bainter, Logan Chieftian and OU Bobcat.
