We call this exceptional defense. Most coaches say "wait till you get a good look", and with the Cadet defense this takes a while with most teams.

As an example, look at Waterfords record. They are scoring 70-80 points most games, yet the Cadets held them to 43 points.

I looked up Waterfords stats thru first seven games, and they are averageing 70.4 points per game...

Fort Frye defense thru nine games is only givving up an average of 30.8 points per game...

Yep it happens to most teams eventually,as only four girls teams in the state of Ohio can go thru the season undefeated.

Dan better jump on the bandwagon of a team that still has a chance :122249

BTW, no excuses from here.

rickoshay - You know who that comment was directed at, you are not one to make excuses. And of course, the positioning of my post was mockery of you know who and his love for inflammatory adjectives...... :-D

Not jumping on any bandwagons, as I don't do that. I'm not supporting or touting any girls teams this year. However, it is sweet to have my alma mater burst Kapono's bubble with this defeat of his beloved lady cadets

Yes, it was hard to take(I think us fans expect way too much of the young girls). I quit making the long winding drive to the old Skyvue gym any more, so I have no details as to what the Cadets downfall was.

I'am sure East'Dspy will have the answers...

I've seen you fall off of way to many wagons, so I'll jump the bandwagon for you Mr. Dan. My alma mater sort of (Woodsfield High) too. Kudos to the Lady Seminoles !!

I'm staying off the falling off the wagon bait, sorry. There was no falling off the wagon, and that was the beauty of it all. I stuck to what I said I was going to do, and no one else was able to do it!

Congrats to the ladies from MC, big win, no doubt. Good luck the rest of the season!

Good win for the lady Noles. If ya look back I said if they were going to lose it be to MC or Caldwell.Taylor Bucannon 3 of 14 and Deidra Combs 3 of 11.Fort Frye just did not shoot the ball well.I was not there.I heard FF lead the whole game but late in the game Brooke Borichs ear ring tape fell off and she was called for a T.It was a 7 point drive and was key to the win.Rules are rules so I guess it was a good call.

I'm seeing a lot of lower scores in the games, as well as "we didn't play well" type of comments. Hope they can be patient and work through the rough spots.

Cadet Ladies better get their game together tonight, because Zanesville Bishop Rosecrans come to the Fort.

Rosecrans were, last I heard, one of the top rated teams in Div. IV. Anyone have their record?

rosecrans girls aren't ranked in the associated press top 10, but the boys are ranked 2nd with a 12-0 record

Fort Frye Cadets 47
Bishop Rosecrans 43

Cadets missed fouls early, and made them late to hang on for the win.

Rosecrans had 4 Freshmen that played a good part of the game. Good foundation for success the next few years.

Cadet JV's also won 52-12
