What do you know about the playoffs?

Still not guaranteed to see Granville, Logan Elm is also still in the mix. If Waite wins tomorrow, Dover will get in at #7 and push Logan Elm down to the #8 spot and Granville would be out. If Waite loses Dover finishes #9 and is out which would allow Granville to finish #8 and allow Logan Elm to remain #7.RAIDER6309 wrote:Looks like Athens got a good draw with Granville. Yep. '09 I believe? Only loss was to Dover and they still only finished 11th or 12th in the region.LoganLocos wrote:Big win for Philly who missed the playoffs a couple of years ago at 9-1 I think.
Region will finish like this:athens78 wrote:Athen and MF are buy far the most talented teams in this region. However has anyone noticed Brookhavens move up over the last few weeks? Wasn't it like 4 weeks ago they were outside the top 8 and only a couple weeks ago they were at 8 or 9? Now finished at a 3. Inner city could be a whole lot a problems for people. Athens, MF, Brookhaven and New Philly are the only ones with a chance.
Watch for Granville Been running the same system as the bullpuppies for years!Pol Pot wrote:Logan Elm or Granville will be no match for Athens.
I hope that I'm wrong, I'd love to see the Quakers finally get over that hump and get past week 11, but history doesn't favor them. Yes, I realize the past is the past, but sometimes history has a way of repeating itself. Look at Philly's last 5 or 6 playoff appearances. Not once making it onto round 2. Even in '03 I think when they went into the playoffs the #1 seed, they still got bounced in the first round. It just seems like come playoffs, they are just not prepared.athens78 wrote:I'm not sure easy schedule has anything to do with it. Athens plays what most would consider a very easy schedule but they are very talented and can compete with anyone. The only advantage most schools in the playoffs will have on them is that Athens never played most of its starters past the first or second series of the third quarter. That being said it may also be an advantage for Athens, having healthy rested starters. Logan Elm has no possible chance to advance and Tri-Valley coming from a football league MVL may get past Philly.
i heard if waite wins Athens plays Dover if they lose it's Granvile. Do you think Dovers win over Waite in reg. season and Waite beating 2-7 Woodward is enough to put them at 7?A-Town Big Dog 2 wrote:Still not guaranteed to see Granville, Logan Elm is also still in the mix. it looks like Waite at 1-8 and woodward at 2-7 there playing for last place in there reagon Paster has Waite 7 pt. favoriteRAIDER6309 wrote:Yes, Joe eitel has dover's max out more than Granville. I don't see Waite winning tho. If they win, Dover is 7th and Logan elm is 8th
Logan Elm is a better team than how they played Thursday vs HT. The 40+ mph wind, heavy rain, and the muddy field really hampered both teams. LE may not beat Athens but if they play to their potential, they should hang around for awhile plus Coach Bartholomew (sp?) is a very good coach.A-Town Big Dog 2 wrote:I watched Logan Elm play Hamilton TWP Thursday night and while I would favor Athens over them, I wouldn't say they have no chance of advancing to round 2. While I think if you could choose any teams in the playoffs or with a chance to get in today that you would want either LE or Granville both are still pretty darn good and with a break or two can beat you.
