Re: Who are the best underclassmen in the shl???
Blake Blevins is a very good underclassmen..hes done showed his self and his team that he can play at the varsity level after the whiteoak game when he had a double double with 17pts. and a number amount of rebounds..he will be getting looked at by more than just Wright State..i think he is amung the top underclassmen in the SHL.

Blevins does have a ton of potential. If he keeps working on his game he will be a force to be reckoned with for the next 2 years.

At this point I believe Arey would be better left in the junior high forum.
YC08, I'm just wondering if maybe you're the new forum police and we just don't know it.

Joe Michael at Whiteoak should be on the list. I'll also throw out Drew Dollich from North Adams. He is still playing JV and hasn't seen many varsity minutes but I think folks will be familiar with him come next year.

I think people need to step back and realize how good you have to be to play D-1 ball.As far as Justice, he is just a sophomore. He still has alot of maturing to do,you get alot stronger and wiser from the age of 16-18.He still has alot of work to do before we start thinking D-1,but i think the talent is there. As far as N.Copas playing D-1, he definitly had the court awareness and shooting ability but I don't see too many 5'10" point guards in D-1 ball.Just my opinion.

Yea jayhawks got it right. Saying that a sophomore from the SHL is D-1 worthy is a pretty big statement to make.
But yes Drew Dollich from North Adams will be a player to watch, as well as his older brother Zack, who is a Junior I believe. Both have the ability to shoot and have a lot of athleticism. Chris Cox from Fairfield is a great player as well.
That's about as strong of a sophomore class as the SHL as seen with Justice, Cox, Dollich, etc.
I've only seen Blevins play a couple times but I don't remember him being that big of a threat offensively. Quinlan has still got the spotlight down in Manchester.

Blevins has had some nice games for the Greyhounds, however, I think he will have a breakout year next year. He looks like he can still grow, from what I saw he doesnt look very mature. If he hits the weights this summer, he will be a tough player. He is around 6'4" but plays like a guard. Shoots the 3 and also works some inside. Manchester has some great talent coming up, other soph. Smith and Tolle are only going to get better. They have two great fresh that should be fun to watch in Combs and Ricketts along with a great supporting class.
Peebles is also loaded with talent coming up. Two of their big keys are underclassmen, Justice and Seaman. They have a nice young guard on the JV team, believe his name is Countryman.
Cox at Fairfield is a smooth big man. What happened to the other nice guard that Fairfield had, Rolark I think was his name.? He was a nice player but I havent heard much about him this year?
Ripleys two sophs are nice players and getting a lot of experience this year.
Michaels is a nice player for Whiteoak as was his brothers. Is this the last one or are there more Michaels to come?

Another question.....how good is the Arey kid compared to how Blake was in 8th grade?
In my opinion Arey is more of an all around player as an 8th grader than Justice was. Justice was and is a shooter and was lax on defense as alot of great shooters tend to be. As a point guard, I think the Arey kid really has a talent for controlling the floor. That will be an asset in future years.
Justice and Seaman are among the best underclassmen right now.

Baller, I think his name was Roark wasn't it? I was wondering about him as well but noticed that he is not on the Fairfield roster this year.
