The referees phantom hand ball call on SW made from 50 yds away from the play was..wow I don't even know. At a loss of words honestly about that call. Just doesn't make any sense. But then misses a blatant hand ball on Minford in the box at the end right in front of him?? Hmm something's not right. I understand not calling a hand ball in the final seconds and I'd be fine if he hadn't called that mysterious hand ball on SW. But the call should have been made. Again not taking anything away from Minford, they played well, but that result was "handed" to them
From what I could see( I don't have a dog in this fight) the call in question went like this: cluster in the box, Minford kicks toward goal, SW handball enough to impede progress of ball, SW clears into Minford player (handball)who then kicks again into SW player which may have been another handball.
Now, all hands/handballs occurred with players hands in normal position and not elevated. So.....question is did the incidental handball give SW advantage in the box to stop chance on goal and clear. I would say yes. therefore PK. If I had a jeeps shirt on, I'm sure I would see it differently.
On another note, great game by both teams. Super exciting. Phenomenal goalkeeping at both ends. Webster's defense is for real!

I would say no. Didn't see one handball at all in there from either side.

I didn't have a Jeep shirt on for sure. I would like to burn one if anyone has an extra. Minford tied the game on a Pk and Jeeps didn't get one called for them. Impede or not impede all hands/handballs occurred with players hands in normal position and elevated. Quit whinning and get over it.

redcard is right... you NEVER, EVER call a pk in a clustered box. especially when their hands are elevated above 45 degrees. any idiot with a whistle, bad eyesite, and a striped shirt knows this. poor very poor. also, jazzhands may know something we don't by predicting that ridiculous pk. which makes me wonder..........

That hand ball call on SW was a JOKE! Still shaking my head on that one. Redcard deserves a red card so he can be ejected from this thread. Sshhhh

Wow. Looks like Redcard needs to pull his pomeranian out of this dog fight. The wolfpack is vicious. I'm all for trying to prove a point, but sometimes you have get a box of tissues, wipe your eyes and nose, and call it a day.

Boy oh Boy. folks it was an outstanding defense game played by both schools, but it gets very iritating when after a team loses or justs ties, the umpires made a bad call. The game is how it is...so just leave it at that. Good job Falcons hangin in their last night. According to the stats, Minford did play a better game statistically with more shots on goal and more saves by SW goal keeper indicates more direct shots than over kicks and more fouls comited by the Jeeps.
Again a great game last night and a great atmosphere.

Like I said, I didn't have a dog in this fight. Didn't lose any sleep last night over the PK call either. When my team loses I pack it up and go home. I don't cry about "phantom" handballs or officiating. I was just trying to explain what I saw from my vantage point. I really dont care if a PK was given or not I was under the impression that what makes this forum exciting- multiple views from multiple parties If its only for one sided fans to blindly predict their team winning 10-0 based solely because "burgs the word" or your home team should be undefeated this year because little Johnny plays on the JV then I'll sit this one out

Sounds like a good game 1-1 tie. So no one wins, or they both win. Just typical blaming the referees, or the home plate ump. for bad calls. Redcard and all the other South Webster fans need to get over it and quit complaining. Move on to the next game the way I see it.

so was this a soccer game or a dog fight. i didnt have a dog in any fight, nor do i own a dog. but its very offensive. as for the actual game that was played, i got to the field at 6 when games usually start and south webster hadnt even arrived yet so i thought it was cancelled. when did they play the game? 10 pm? my goodness kind of ridiculous if you ask me.

The officials we had last night are good officials. One is very experienced (One of the best in the area) and the other is off to a good start & is knowledgeable of the game.

No complaints here.

Both teams played with some great intensity & this game had the atmosphere of a tournament game. It's great that these teams play each other twice a year in the regular season because it's good competition for both.

im just glad the refs called a good game and more importantly wore the appropriate gear. i about puked one year at a ref (not naming names) who bit off more than he could chew. dress codes and compression shorts aside, these guys called a WHALE of a game. no pun intended :aaaaa26
