It's been answered.
Why don't you stick with topics such as 9 and 10 year old girls softball?
That seems to be more your speed.

Next time you attend a football game, try watching the interaction of the head coach with his coordinators on the sidelines instead of the cheerleaders...
Goodnight!!!

No offense to anyone intended, but Vince Lombardi could have called the defense...the problem revolved around the inability to put a ballcarrier on the ground, The Trojans havent tackled well in five years plus
Re: Portsmouth Trojan's Next Head Football Coach
LetsGoPSU hit the nail on the head. The defense wasn't very good due to lack of personnel and just being flat out physically weak. It had nothing to do with scheme or play calling. In all honesty most teams 11 were better than our 11 and you aren't gonna win many when that's the case. Again a strong weight program and playing your best on both sides of the ball would be a start in improving the situation. We are to small a school to have that many people go just one way.

Re: Portsmouth Trojan's Next Head Football Coach
KT I'm actually hearing that they want to do a second round of interviews with thier top 3-5 candidates so we probably won't get an annocment till after the first of the year. Next board meeting is the 20th can't see it done by then. After that we have one January 10th or my guess we hold a special meeting sometime over the break to make the announcement.
What I have heard there have been some impressive presentations by the candidates so far. I believe the last of the first round is tonight.

Hopefully it won't go too far into January before the decision is made.

Agree 100%. Portsmouth had athletes all over the field this year. They just werent football players.LetsGoPSU wrote:No offense to anyone intended, but Vince Lombardi could have called the defense...the problem revolved around the inability to put a ballcarrier on the ground, The Trojans havent tackled well in five years plus
The athleticism is there but the staff has failed to develop them into fundamental football players.
Re: Portsmouth Trojan's Next Head Football Coach
once again not taking any shots at anyone, but it takes two to create "football players" In todays world kids are being pulled in 20 different directions by each individual sport,it takes 365 days a year to create a "football player" you cant spend three months in the weight room, three months in the batting cage and three months on the basketball court, the days of three sport super atheletes are long gone in most cases.

My son who is a 7th grader is a basketball and baseball player.
He has played football, cross country, and soccer in the past.
However, he is primarily a basketball and baseball player.
We obviously stay busy in the spring and summer in Kentucky when the two sports overlap!
