Knox Insurance Scoreboard Show

Post by JJ Hale »

I would like to invite all of you football junkies to tune in tomorrow morning for the Knox Insurance Scoreboard Show. It airs at 9 a.m. on 96.7 WKOV-FM. We have coach's interviews each week with Coach Wolford from Jackson, Coach Mantell from Wellston, Coach Phillips from Oak Hill and Coach Yates from Vinton County. Plus, scores and stats from all over Southern and Central Ohio. WKOV is a 25000-watt radio station, so everyone from Ironton to Canal Winchester should be able to hear us. If any of you have stats from each of your respective schools, feel free to send them to me via a pm or an email to: sportsshow@knoxagency.net
We would love to include them on our show and give your team and kids the recognition they deserve. Listener response has been great so far and if things continue to go well, we may extend the show for another hour so we can include more coaches from around the area. I hope everyone can listen! Safe travels to those of you traveling tonight and Good Luck to all of our area teams!

JJ, you guys do a great job. Thanks for including our girls last year during basketball season. Now if we could only get Bob Willis to consider Oak Hill one of our local teams.

Carl and I appreciate the kind words. I know Bob has the best interest of the kids at heart. Bob is a Rocket from way back and I love the loyalty that he has to the Rockets! That's old school and you don't see that allot anymore. I don't think he purposely ignores any of our local teams. If you would like I could hook you up with the radio station so you can send information to them. I know they will cover it if they have it. Thanks again for listening! We really appreciate it!

Probably not.

Stickyville is cool. 8)

Seriously, I hope everyone enjoys the show. We enjoy it and hope that we provide a good venue for area HS sports fans to hear what is going on in area sports.

We hope. :)

Although we already started working on the "Hoops Version" much of that will be predicated on the sponsorship load from the station's sales department.

One of the best parts of the parts of co-hosting this show is the interviews we get to do with the Coaches. With a lineup like Persin, "Larry Legend," Derrow, and Combs......the basketball version should make for a real entertaining season. They're all very articulant guys who have won a ton of games between them.....we'll fairly welcome them all and look forward to talking, on the air, with them.

We might even be able to wedge in some girls coaches throughout the year. ;-)
