Griffey a Mariner...Again!
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3917214
I like the move, go back to where it all began, and actually get to play a season
in the stadium that he built!
He was my favorite player growing up, him being a Red was icing on the cake,
when he enters the hall of fame, he'll be a Mariner, will be nice to see him go out as one.

The 39-year-old Griffey is expected to bring No. 24 out of storage when he arrives and goes to work providing run production and leadership in the clubhouse.

I may have to go watch a couple home games this year. Last one I went to at Safeco field was the night Rafiel Palmero hit #3000.....then a week or 2 later he got hammerd with roids....go figure.

Yes he will wear 24. They had a picture in the papper (Athens Messenger) of the company that makes the Seattle players jerseys, and they had #24 on them.

oh man, i have an old school griffey jersey from the mariners with 24. he was my fav when i was growing up.... he is the last "REAL" baseball player untill steroids and other enhancements become extinct, there will always be a problem. i think they should let griffey play 3 years drug test exempt and let him roid up just to make things fair

Re: Griffey a Mariner...Again!
No let him play this year then make him, The Commissioner of Baseball and see what he could do right for the game

Re: Griffey a Mariner...Again!
He has the best homerun swing I have ever seen. Imagine how many homers he'd hit if he were on Roids! What do you alll think, 950?

I don't know how many homers he would hit if he were on steroids but I do know that if it were not for all of the injury's, He would be stairing down that record right now. Who knows maybe even passed it. Griff is one of my 2 favorite baseball players of all time. I think with him playing DH he will have a pretty good year at the plate. Maybe .285, 33Hr, 110rbi's.. and a million extra butts in the seat in seattle.
Griff is the seattle Mariners. Fans in Seattle have been holding out for years in hopes that "The KId" will someday return. I will miss Griff as a Red but I am very excited about him going home!!!!!!!!!
