For the amount of money he was being paid he should have been on the field more. Being as heavy as he is he was unable to stay on the field. Then when on the field he couldn't keep his helmet on his head. Many games more than once you would see his helmet off. Maybe Cleveland should be happy to use the money for him on others. Being talented is great but if not productive all the time on defense is a question Cleveland needs to answer for themselves.

He might not be the most motivated player but he is the most talented. He WAS the defense the last half of the year and went to the Pro Bowl for his efforts. Now, if you want to boot him, it will cost a cool 9.7 million to the cap in Cleveland; essentially taking that hit for an empty locker. Why is it that new coaches feel the need to alienate every decent player on the team that was there before him? Tear it down and start over? We have seen that for 10 years now and the Browns are consistently one of the worst teams in the league for it. Mangini has not exactly embraced Shaun, even snubbing him if you can believe some of the reports out of Cleveland. How about snubbing your overpaid non-blocking tight end instead of one of your few Pro Bowlers? The Browns will soon be the New York Jets west. How does that make you feel? How will that team stack up against the Steelers and Ravens the next few years.

Rogers was not the most motivated player in Detroit either. You pay a lot of money for someone to be a great player in some games not all. It is very frustrating for people losing jobs and having to cut back only to have someone get overpaid and not give their all. Now they have gotten rid of Winslow. The Browns have a collection of talent that likes to talk more than produce on the field. If they all could get motivated to play up to their potential they can be a good team. This is called Professional Football time for all the players, coaches and management to show some professionalism and earn their paycheck.
