Clay rallies to overtake Belpre in late innings to win 6 - 5 in district semi's. . .
Belpre jumped out to a 4 - 0 lead before Clay could gather themselves and get on the scoreboard Belpre mananged to find the plate one more time before the Panthers started their 6 and 7 inning rally . . .Belpre used their whole pitching arsonal this evening but found that untimely errors and timely hits by Clay left them short in the scoring column. . . .Congrats to clay for not giving up and nice job by Mader, she pitched a very good game, kept belpre off balance at the plate. . . .Nice job to Junior Amber Lockhart CF who had some very nice catches for belpre and also had a nice hit and nice bunt, sophmore whitney gibson laid a great bunt, while sophmore Natalie perry had a nice hit and came in to try and salvage a win for belpre, reliever Junior Regina Leftwich did a good job on the hill, played a very solid SS, and also went 1-2, walk, 2 rbi's, and a run scored on a headsey steal of home caught Clay off guard in the first inning . . . .Again congrats to Clay and good luck saturday in the district finals facing winner of Eastern/Fairland in the night cap. . . . .
