I hated him when I was a kid because he lead a comeback in 1970 to beat my Browns. I remember the Browns being ahead by ten points in the second half when he relieved Daryle Lamonica and led the comeback as the QB, then kicked the game winning field goal. As I grow older, I begin to realize that even through the bad moments, I witnessed a lot of great NFL history for which I am grateful. And that history now includes the late George Blanda. George, I forgive you for beating the Browns! RIP.
