Today, the Burg JL defeated Jefferson Area out of Ashtabula County 6-3. The Pirates now advance to play North Canton on Monday 7/23 at 1:00.
North Canton defeated Eaton today 13-0.

In others games............
Cuyahoga Falls South beat Olentangy 13-3 last night.
Boardman defeated Miami 14-7.
Maumee over Cuy Falls South 14-8.

Wheelersburg fell to North Canton today 21-14
The game took 3 hours to play.
Burg lead 8-1 after 3 innings.
North Canton tallied 3 in the fourth and 6 in the 6th to take the lead 10-8.
The final inning NC put up 11 runs to the Burg's 8, with the Burg leaving the bases loaded in the bottom of the 7.

Excellent game by the Pirates! North Canton seems to be the tournament favorite. Wheelersburg gave them all they could handle! We're all proud of all of them.

Maumee and Boardman were to play after us today.

Tomorrow 7/24 we play Jefferson Area who we put in the loser's bracket in our first game. They beat Cuyahoga Falls South 7-6 to advance.

Olentangy, Cuyahoga Falls South and Eaton have been eliminated.

Tomorrow in the other loser's bracket game is Miami meeting the loser of Maumee and Boardman.

Today, Miami beat Boardman 5-3 and Jefferson Area won 9-6 over the Pirates. What a great ride with these young men....the future continues to look bright for Pirate baseball. These kids had great support here in Elyria. The conducted themselves like young men on and off the field. We are all proud of what they have accomplished and are sorry to see the season come to an end. Thanks to all of the players and parents for all of the great memories! These kids are first class!

7/25 Jefferson Area beat Miami 8-3 in the loser bracket.
Maumee took down the North Canton team 10-=6.
North Canton beat Jefferson Area this evening.

North Canton has to beat Maumee twice to take the championship. If Maumee wins, it is theirs!
