off topic: but interesting Track & Field national team info:

Post by Tjhtygeverve »

My good friend @ work has an incredible daughter giving notice @ the national & world level...
Kaylin Whitney, 17, Clermont, FL, daughter of a good friend @ the restaurant I work @ in EPCOT HAS unleashed her speed on the world. I'll post her bio on a link, but basically, she's one of the fastest women's sprinters in the world @ age 17. She set /or broke junior Olympic records last year in Eugene, OR, taking a gold medal in the 200m, bronze in the 100m, & gold in the 4x100m relay for the USA.
As a frosh, she took state championships in FL In 100 & 200 m dashes, smashing records.
after strong appearance in Junior Olympics, She entered training with other Olympic hopefuls here in Orlando!

This March, she turned Pro, signing with Nike & then red bull, hitting the Diamond League Pro-circuit, racing throughout Europe, Asia, central & South America , quickly improving her times & beating Olympic medalist along the way. She recently took the Gold medal in the 200m & anchored the USA in the 4x100meter relay in Canada @ the PanAm games taking down sprinting gold medalist's from Jamaica & Bahamas.

Watch Kaylin Whitney 8/29 (Saturday)on ESPN in the world championships on ESPN. She qualified for the worlds shortly before turning pro, just months after starting training with Olympic hopefuls & secured a USA team spot in the 4x100 meter relay pool finishing fifth in the 100m just short of4th place in the USA championships by 100th's of a second. The top 4 in each event make the USA world team, & although she missed out on a top 4 finish in the 100 & 200m events for an individual spot in the world championships, her 5th place time guaranteed her a spot of the top 6 to be in the relay pool for coaches to choose from while @ the world championships at this month's end in Japan.
She is there now, acclamating.
Since qualifying, her 100 & 200 m times have gotten so much better she could be used in the 100 &200 m individual races & relays. It's up to her practice times there & team USA's coaching staff/committee.
She's incredible @ her age & is peaking in time for the Rio Olympics 2016 @ age 18. (Fingers crossed)

SORRY FOR OFF TOPIC.

I COULDNT RESIST SHARING THIS REMARKABLE TALENT. It's amazing to watch her & working with her mom as a server inside Disney. Her mother is the fastest server I've ever worked with, haha.

Sorry for mis-print.
She's @ world championships right now in Beijing, China NOT Nagano, Japan...

Gold medal anchor in PanAm games 4x100m

200m is her speciality, but is improving in 100m. Has trouble out of blocks but with incredible closing power.
