What is it like to play for Head Coach Robert Rachel?

Playing for Coach Rob is very cool and chill but Coach Rob only wants what’s best for you. Coach only wants you to become a man on and off the football field, Great role model for young men!

How long have you played football, along with the reasons you continue to play?

I’ve been playing football since I was about 4-5 years old, I took a break middle school year and got right back to it my freshman year. I play football for a lot of reasons but really because my grandfather wanted me to be a super athlete before he passed away, also because of where I come from, where I’m from it’s not really a lot of athletes or even successful black men.

What are your personal goals for the 2023 season?

Personal goals I have for myself this season are to beat my own record with the most force fumbles in gamble history and also get more tackles this year than I did last year(88).

In 2022, the Gators had 7 wins and 4 losses; in the four losses, the average margin of defeat was 36 points. What must the Gators do better as a team to improve their overall record?

All we have to do is WERK, in the classroom and out on the field. As a team we have the ability, and talents to make it to state all we have to do is be mentally and physically prepared and focused this season. We’re a huge target considering the fact we won the CMAC blue title, we just need to have higher expectations for ourselves.

With this being your final year of high school football, have you approached things any differently? If so, explain.

A lot of things have been approached differently, I really understand the role of being a senior.

I’ve realized that being a leader can take our team so far. Being a senior just lets me know that this isn’t just a game it could help me and connect me with the most important people in the world.

What would it mean to you after the season is over to have earned an invite to play in the North/South game?

It would mean a lot, to play in the north/south game because I love the game of football, I love sports in general but it would mean a lot because I feel as if my last name is not just a name, I feel as if it’s legacy and my grandfather just handed the torch over to me!

Where should the state finals be held?

I feel like the state finals should be held somewhere far like Toledo or something a little far out.

What is the most difficult part of a Gamble Montessori practice?

The most difficult part is conditioning but it’s only difficult if you’re not tough mentally or physically.

What is your game-day routine?

I get up stretch, listen to Łïł Durk, est gee, and young Dolph for about an hour, grab a bite to eat, and then head to school, get through the school day and listen to more music, around time to get dressed I listen to meek mills “Dreams and nightmares”

Do you feel you are better at running back or defensive back?

I feel like I’m better at defensive back because I love to hit!

What has been your most memorable moment as well as the moment you would like to forget as a high school football player?

Beating Clark for the first time winning the hammer! And scoring my first 2 touchdowns on them.

Where is the best local spot to grab a bite?

Best local place is Cincinnati’s very own Skyline or gold star

What is your favorite class or subject?

History, or government

What was the last book you read?

The last book I read was William Shakespeare, McBeth
