How long have you played football, along with the reasons you continue to play?

I’ve played football ever since we have been able to hit which was around 5th grade. I keep playing because not only is it fun to fly around and hit some people you take away a lot of good life lessons from it too.

What are your personal goals for the 2023 season?

Some of my personal goals for this season are to not only be one of the strongest players on the line but to be one of the most physical. Another goal of mine is to help build teamwork and communication on this team. And of course to make sure my job is done and that my QB is protected at all times.

How important is it for the Golden Eagles to come out of the gate and post a win in Week 1?

It is extremely important because we need to go out there and show everyone that we are not a team to mess with and that when you play us it’s not going to be an “easy win”

What has been your favorite memory when it comes to playing football?

There are so many to choose from but I would have to say my first varsity game would have to be my favorite memory. There’s no other feeling like it.

Of all the road games you have played, which stadium has been the worst, along with the reason it was so bad?

The teams that we played all had nice stadiums but one of the worst stadiums we’ve played at would be Jackson. The field itself wasn’t terrible but the locker rooms were terrible. They had an extremely small locker room for how big their school is.

What are your thoughts on 16 teams from each region qualifying for the playoffs?

I don’t think it was a bad change. It gives other teams to have an opportunity to prove themselves and it lets people with tough schedules who might not have a good record but they had to play rough games a chance to compete

Who is the team you want to pick up a win over this season, and why?

Definitely, the team we need to beat this year would be Massillon. We need to go out there and show everybody that we are able to beat one of the most physical teams out there. And we are not a force to be reckoned with.

What, in your mind, is it going to take for the Golden Eagles to become a force in the league and then a serious playoff contender?

We would definitely have to beat all of our federal league teams in the regular season along with Masslion. If we can show we can beat all of them then people will look at us as the team that might go all the way to states and win it all.

What must you improve on the most to become a more dominant player?

I think everyone has room for improvement everywhere but I think I definitely need to improve my ability to step into the leadership role that it takes to be the starting center.

Of all the road games you have played, which stadium was the best to play in, and what made it so good?

The best stadium we played at would have to be the Tom Benson Hall of Fame. It was such a good stadium because of their locker rooms. They were so nice and they had carpet.

What will you most remember about the 2023 Team once the season has come to an end?

That we have a really good and talented and physical team this season

How much of the stuff coming from the stands can the players actually hear?

Pretty much nothing. You run out onto that field and everything just goes silent because of how focused you are.

What is your favorite genre of music?

It would have to be rap because nothing can get you more motivated or more pumped up to go hit someone like rap can.

Where is the best spot in town to grab a bite?

Anywhere in Washington Square because there are so many food options over there, they pretty much have everything.

What was the last book you read?

The last book I read was Above The Line by Urban Meyer
